!Welcome image Reign of Nether - KareAkern Edition is a Modpack designed around the mod Reign of Nether RTS

Reign of Nether turns Minecraft into a Real Time Strategy game, or "RTS" for short.

The goal of this pack is to add extra optimization to the mod, give unique world generation, and add quality of life changes without compromising gameplay expereience and authenticity.

This pack was created for the use of the KareAkern minecraft server for an upcoming Reign of the nether event, but anybody is free is use it! ---

<details> <summary>Using Embeddium</summary>

There is an alternate version of this modpack with Embeddium installed for lower-end PCs, sacrificing a few features for better performance. To install, go to the "Versions" tab and install the modpack labelled "RON + Embeddium".

Be aware: some visuals of Reign of Nether such as transparent leaves and Fog of War will be broken, though gameplay should work as normal. Animated Chunks is also disabled.

It's recommended to enable the Invisileafs resource pack with Embeddium enabled. </details>

<details> <summary>Guide for Lag</summary>

If you experience low framerates or lag, try the following in order:

• Turn off shaders
• Remove Physics Mod
• Lower render distance to 12 and disable Animated Chunks
• In game press the 'M' key and go to the option "Set leaves to:" and switch it to 'ALL'
• If you are running the default pack, switch to the Embeddium version
