Minecraft MCP server

Give your AI Minecraft tools

Connect Orca to ChatGPT or Claude through MCP. Your assistant can build a mod, generate Minecraft assets, track the build, deliver the file, and apply creations to servers you own.

Remote MCP · OAuth sign-in · No API key

AI conversation
You: Build a Fabric mod with a grappling hook.

Orca: Starting the build for Minecraft 1.21.1.
Orca: Compiling and checking the mod…
Orca: Done. Download it or open it in Orca.
One connector

From idea to playable Minecraft

Orca gives compatible AI assistants focused tools instead of unrestricted access to your computer or account.

Create mods from prompts

Describe the mechanic, loader, and Minecraft version. Orca starts a cloud build and returns its progress.

Generate game assets

Create skins, textures, and Minecraft-ready models from the same conversation.

Track and download builds

Check a job, list your creations, and receive the finished file when it is ready.

Work with your servers

List servers owned by your account and apply a completed creation to the server you choose.

Continue locally with Orca

Open finished creations in Orca Desktop to install them and launch the matching Minecraft instance.

Use your preferred assistant

Connect the same secure Orca account to supported ChatGPT and Claude MCP clients.

How it works

Connect once, then ask naturally

The remote connector handles authentication and tool discovery. Your AI client decides when to propose an Orca action.

01

Add the Orca MCP endpoint

Open your AI client's connector settings and add https://app.orcaclient.com/api/mcp.

02

Sign in with Orca

OAuth opens the official Orca sign-in flow. No token or API key needs to be copied into a configuration file.

03

Ask for Minecraft work

Describe what to build or inspect. Review tool requests before the assistant runs consequential actions.

Permissions and safety

Your account remains the authority

MCP does not give an assistant unlimited access. Orca authenticates the user, scopes data to that account, validates every tool input, and keeps sensitive service credentials away from the AI client.

  • OAuth authorization instead of pasted API keys
  • Owned creations and servers only
  • Explicit confirmation for consequential actions
  • Revocable access from connected-app settings
FAQ

Common questions

What is a Minecraft MCP server?

It is a secure bridge between an AI assistant and Minecraft tools. Orca exposes approved actions for creating mods and assets, checking builds, downloading creations, and working with servers you own.

Does Orca MCP require the desktop app?

Cloud actions work without the desktop app. Local actions, including launching Minecraft or installing into a local instance, require Orca Desktop because they run on your computer.

Can ChatGPT or Claude access someone else's server?

No. You sign in with OAuth, and server actions are scoped to the Orca servers owned by your account. Consequential actions require explicit review and authorization.

Do I need an API key?

No. Orca MCP uses OAuth. Add the official endpoint, sign in to Orca, review the requested access, and allow the connection.
